THREE prominent buildings in Derry’s city centre are being sold for a combined total of almost £1.3m, it can be revealed today.
The Derry News has learned that there has been strong interest in the three adjoining buildings at 29-35 Shipquay Street and the sale is expected to go through in next few weeks.
The buildings currently house the Ulster Cancer Foundation charity shop, Downey’s Bar, Sugar nightclub, The Burger Bar and a vacant building was most recently the premises of an electrical goods shop.
BTWSheills, the estate agents selling the properties, describe them as ‘a terrace of Georgian style buildings spread over three and four stories’.
The buildings, which currently produce a rental turnover of £86,500 per annum, are said to be mainly in good condition with some areas needing refurbishment.
The three lots cost £350,000, £435,000 and £500,000 and have a total area 15,217 sq ft.
Stuart Draffin, of BTWShiells, said there had been encouraging interest in the Derry properties.
